Adelaide Convention Centre
Adelaide Convention Centre recently underwent a significant redevelopment. With the addition of two new buildings, it’s set to generate billions for the region
First opened in 1987, Adelaide Convention Centre has recently undergone an AUD 397m redevelopment, which saw the opening of a new East Building and West Building.
The centre’s unique architecture is inspired by the rugged South Australian landscape
Ernst & Young has estimated that this renovation will generate an additional AUD 1.92bn for the region over the next 25 years.
The new East Building comprises features such as two 320-seat rotating auditoriums, dividing walls and hinged seating bays, allowing for full customisation and flexible meeting arrangements.
With its unique architecture inspired by the rugged South Australian landscape, the centre is an icon on the bank of the River Torrens.
